AlphaPilot Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure
Version 1 — effective September 4, 2026
Please read this carefully. By checking the acceptance box, typing your full legal name, and clicking "I accept", you agree to every term below. If you do not agree, do not use AlphaPilot.
1. What AlphaPilot is
AlphaPilot ("the Service") is privately operated software that connects to a dedicated Robinhood "agentic" brokerage account that you open, fund, and control. Once connected, the Service researches stocks and places buy and sell orders in that account autonomously, on a schedule, without asking you before each trade. The Service is provided by an individual operator ("the Operator"), not by a company, a bank, a broker-dealer, or a registered investment adviser.
2. Not financial advice
Nothing produced by the Service — research notes, theses, decisions, trades, reviews, or any text on this website — is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. The Service's output is generated by automated software and language models that can be wrong, out of date, or based on inaccurate data. The Operator is not licensed to give investment advice and is not acting as your adviser, fiduciary, or agent.
3. Your decision, your risk
You choose to connect your account, fund it, set the amount at risk, configure the trading rules, and keep the Service enabled. You may pause or disconnect the Service at any time from the Robinhood page of this website or from the Robinhood app.
You understand and accept that:
- Trading securities involves substantial risk of loss. You may lose some or all of the money you place in the connected account.
- Automated trading can execute orders at unfavourable prices, react to bad data, malfunction, or fail to act when you would have wanted it to.
- Past performance of the Service, of any strategy, or of any other user's account is no guarantee of future results.
- Market, broker, connectivity, software, and third-party failures (including Robinhood outages and language-model errors) can cause losses that the Service cannot prevent.
- Rules such as position caps, loss limits, and cash reserves reduce but do not eliminate risk, and you are responsible for any rule you loosen or disable.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Operator may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
5. Release and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and agree not to sue the Operator, and you agree to hold the Operator harmless, for any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including trading losses, lost profits, taxes, fees, account restrictions, and consequential or incidental damages — whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, even if the Operator was advised of the possibility of such damages.
If any part of this release is found unenforceable, the Operator's total liability to you for all claims combined shall not exceed the amount you paid the Operator for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which, while the Service is free, is zero).
6. Your account and responsibilities
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the Robinhood account you connect is yours, that you are legally permitted to trade securities and to authorise software to trade on your behalf, and that you will comply with Robinhood's terms and all applicable laws. You are solely responsible for the security of your login credentials and for monitoring your account. You will not use the Service for anyone else's money or account.
7. Data
To operate, the Service stores an encrypted access token for your connected Robinhood account, your trading rules, and a record of the research, decisions, trades, and reviews made for your account. The Operator will not share this data with third parties except the services needed to run the Service (for example the brokerage and language-model providers) or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account at any time from the Account page; a record of your acceptance of these terms is retained as evidence.
8. Free, invite-only service
Access is currently by invitation and free of charge under a gifted "Pro" plan. The Operator may introduce paid plans in the future; nothing in these terms obliges you to pay, and nothing obliges the Operator to keep the Service free.
9. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, you will be asked to accept the new version before the Service trades for you again. Your continued use after accepting a new version means you agree to it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not barred by the release above shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
11. Entire agreement
These terms are the complete agreement between you and the Operator about the Service and replace any prior understanding. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
By accepting, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms, that using AlphaPilot is your own choice, that you accept the risks of investing including the risk of losing money, and that you agree not to hold the Operator liable for any loss resulting from your use of the Service.
